It didn't take long to fall in love with the image quality compared to my Nikon D70/D90. There was no battery supplied for the back itself, and eventually I'll probably buy one, I'm just trying to make use of what I have while I pay off this beast. I'm mainly looking to use the DM for its external power port because the kit came with a nice battery pack that seems to run the back for several hours per charge, and it connects via the DM. I already have an 8 gig CF card installed which is plenty for any sort of portable use I will give it. I agree with ditching the digital magazine. I'd rather use a power-injection adaptor cable, but the voltage for Firewire spec covers a fairly wide range, so I'd rather not risk running the Aptus on the wrong voltage, and I don't know what the voltage spec is for the Aptus.
#Leaf aptus 22 how to#
I tried to sign up for the Leaf/Mamiya support forum but the sign-up page isn't cooperating, so I am posting the question here:ĭoes anyone know how I can tell what the capacity of the magazine is, and how to partition it so that an Aptus 22 back will recognize all partitions, or if necessary, one big partition with the capacity of the whole disk? Since it is working as-is, I don't want to risk re-partitioning the drive without proper knowledge and render it useless.Īnother question is when using the Aptus 22 in tethered mode, if the computer has only a 4-pin Firewire port, what is the normal way to power the back? I've seen using a Firewire hub mentioned. Effectively, I have only 1.5 GB of storage available on the drive as it appears to be working right now. On the Aptus touch screen it shows it as. There is no indication that this is the name it is looking for. The Aptus 22 recognizes only the LEAF DM A partition. I am not sure of the digital magazine's capacity, but it is currently partitioned with: The package came with a Leaf Digital Magazine, which is what I am using for now while my CF card reader is out on loan. I recently bought a used Mamiya 645AFD with a Leaf Aptus 22 back.

I searched and didn't find any relevant answers to this.
